Job summary

Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Fixed Income team in Chicago seeks a Client Portfolio Manager to act as the commercial catalyst for our fixed income platform. You will translate strategy, risk, and performance into compelling narratives that win mandates and grow assets, coordinating across portfolio managers, trading, product, and operations to scale solutions and deepen client relationships.

Qualifications

• 7 years of work experience in Fixed Income, facing off with Clients in Client Portfolio Management capacity
• Strong knowledge of buy-side fixed income portfolio management
• Client-facing experience is a must
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work across time zones and travel internationally/domestically

Responsibilities

• Servicing existing client base, regular client engagement and initiating new business initiatives within a global team
• Drive new business opportunities, liaising with product development and sales, and supporting Sales and Client Relationship Management teams
• Synthesize and communicate investment philosophy, process, product positioning and current market trends to clients
• Collaborate with clients on asset allocation, investment guidelines, risk budgeting, and portfolio optimization
• Partner with distribution and operations teams to optimize client experience and portfolio management
