Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA is seeking a Fixed Equipment Inspector to join our operations team. You will perform hands-on inspections of storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping, and relief devices, while adhering to API and ASME guidelines.

The role requires climbing, confined space work, and use of NDT equipment as needed, with a Monday–Friday 7am-3:30pm schedule and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with strict safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to mill safety and environmental guidelines.
• Assist or operate machinery to target performance levels.
• Assist crew members and maintain teamwork.
• Meet or exceed production and quality goals.
• Demonstrate leadership potential.
• Work with MI Coordinator and contractors on proactive inspection programs.
• Inspect storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping, and relief devices.
• Document inspection findings and write maintenance notifications.
