Job summary

Google is seeking a Corporate Assets Accountant to lead end-to-end month-end close, including asset creation and retirements, FA ledger close, capex accruals, and journal entries. You will analyze monthly results and provide insights for government-related reporting while collaborating with our global Finance team to drive efficiency.

The role supports Corp Assets Accounting, month-end close, and reconciliation for Corporate Assets accounts, emphasizing controls and automation to scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent practical experience.
• CPA or Chartered Accountant certification.
• 4 years of accounting experience or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• Experience with US GAAP in a public or multinational setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end month-end close tasks for Corporate Assets and related ledgers.
• Deliver monthly/quarterly flux analysis with financial commentary.
• Maintain sub-ledgers for Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Projects for new entity setups and regular maintenance.
• Scale A&C and A2R processes by deploying automation to improve efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Prioritize project requests with emphasis on risk controls and reconciliation quality.
