Job summary

Select Water Solutions in Gainesville, TX is seeking a Staff Accountant focused on fixed assets to support monthly close and financial reporting. You will maintain asset records, prepare journal entries, and assist with audits in a GAAP-compliant environment.

The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with regional teams. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience.
• Strong accounting knowledge and ability to produce quality spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with fixed assets accounting and journal entries.
• Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and third parties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a documented system of accounting entries.
• Perform monthly and year-end close including journal entry activity and GL maintenance.
• Prepare reconciliations and detailed account analysis.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls are followed.
• Assist with audits and respond to inquiries during audits.
• Serve as back-up for key accounting activities as needed.
