Job summary

A reputable accounting firm in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Accountant to handle general accounting duties, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge in fixed asset and lease accounting is required. This position is fully onsite, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration within the office environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Very knowledgeable in fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Experience with accounting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post monthly journal entries and prepare accruals.
• Manage vendor relations and monitor expense reports.
• Prepare internal financial statements and support year-end audit.
