Job summary

Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida seeks an Accountant II to support fixed asset accounting and capital budgeting. You will apply the College’s capitalization policy, maintain the asset ledger, and prepare journal entries and reconciliations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting, at least five years of relevant experience, strongExcel and Workday familiarity, and the ability to collaborate with Facilities and IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Five years of accounting software experience in a computerized environment.
• Experience with fixed asset tracking, depreciation, additions and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Apply capitalization policy to determine capitalized vs expensed expenditures.
• Maintain fixed asset database, track additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations as needed.
• Conduct annual fixed asset inventories and reconcile with records.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closings and audit support.
• Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable and support financial reporting.
• Develop budget-to-actual reports for capital projects.
