Scheels Overland Park is hiring a part-time associate. You will greet customers, assist with fitting room activities, and direct inquiries to the right associates. The role emphasizes teamwork, product knowledge, and delivering a memorable in-store experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and check them in and out of rooms, monitoring merchandise.
• Prepare merchandise (buttons, zips, etc.) for return to selling floor.
• Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional manner.
• Learn product knowledge to assist customers and partner with sales associates.
• Direct customers to the correct associate for location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitting room environment.

Compensation

Earn $16.00 per hour plus GREAT Associate Discount on all in store purchases.

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9:30p.m., Monday through Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of every other weekend or 2 weekends a month. Average hours per week is 20 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, check customers in and out of rooms, while monitoring the amount of merchandise the customer has in the fitting room
• Prepares merchandise (buttons, zips, etc.) to return to the selling floor
• Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and pleasant disposition
• Learn product knowledge to assist customers and partner effectively with sales associates
• Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise, and direct customers to the correct associate when necessary
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitting room environment

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have or be in pursuit of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
