Specific Experience:

Experience with open table fit-up and welding large structural steel weldments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Including the following, but additional duties may apply as required)

• Perform all tasks safely and responsibly.
• Read and understand welding instructions and structural drawings.
• Verify correct quantity and quality of welded parts.
• Layout stitch welds; determine weld locations and sizes for welders.
• Work from drawings, patterns, fixtures, and specifications.
• Operate fuel gas and plasma hand torches for fitting purposes.
• Move materials using forklifts and cranes according to safety procedures and practices.
• Assist with welding weldments.
• Perform cleaning, assembly, and straightening operations as directed by supervision.
• Perform welding using processes such as GMAW, Flux, Sub Arc, etc., as required.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, and instructions.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years experience as an open table fitter.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing or job shop environment is a plus.

Physical Demands:

Ability to move or transfer products using overhead cranes and forklifts. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Must be able to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
