Position Title: Fitter Welder Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm Family owned since 1972, a heavy equipment manufacturer located in Milwaukee is looking for talented Welder / Fabricators to join the team. This 1st shift role comes with full benefits, overtime, and a stable workforce. We are looking for a passionate and motivated welder/fitter to become part of our team who is eager to learn and grow in our fast-paced environment.

Fitter Welder Responsibilities:

• Set up welding equipment including necessary adjustments to weld different parts or subassemblies.
• Perform various welding operations following blueprint weld symbols
• Move weldments manually, by overhead crane and secure workpiece in weld fixture or table.
• Set-up and prepare surfaces to be welded and work with blueprints to verify accuracy of pre-assembled metal components to be welded.

Requirements for Fitter Welder:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum 1 year of welding experience
• Knowledge of basic procedures of MIG welding and cutting tools
• Basic math skills
• Skilled in the operation of grinders and deburring equipment
• Perform standard measurements using a tape measure or other measurement devices
• Able to weld simple assemblies with little supervision
• Able to weld flat, vertical and down
• Able to read blueprints with weld symbols and specifications
• Able to lift and position fabricated metal parts manually, using a crane
• Able to work overtime and/or including weekends as production schedules dictate
