Qualifications

Job description

Overview

Fitter and Fitter Welder - Welders on 1st and 2nd shift. Knowledge in machine tools, welding and large mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Read prints, set up and weld using FCAW and GMAW processes.
• Weld from prints using flux core and .035 MIG; perform MIG, flux and metal core welding for mild steel, heavy steel and alloys; medium to heavy gauge welding.
• Fit up, flux core and open table MIG experience.
• Move materials using cranes, hoists and forklifts.
• In-house fabricators assist in the welding process.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in machine tools, welding and large mechanical assembly.
• Experience with MIG welding, flux core welding and open table MIG.
• Machine building, mechanic or mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience with medium to heavy plate; multiple pass welds.
