Job summary

Westerman, Inc., an employee-owned manufacturer serving the oil, gas and nuclear industries, seeks a Fitter/Welder. You will prepare surfaces and weld using GMAW/FCAW, in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. This is a safety sensitive, on-site role at our Catoosa, OK facility.

You will lay out, align, and secure parts, read blueprints, and maintain production standards while adhering to safety policies. Benefits included in an employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fitter/welding experience.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Must pass an open root 3G MIG/FLUXCORE test and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding.
• Prepare all material surfaces to be welded.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Clamp, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt parts to obtain required configurations.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.

Fitter WelderWesterman, Inc., an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our equipment helps optimize well pad design, improve separation efficiency and lower overall equipment spend through high-performance surface separation and processing technology. Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.SUMMARYThe Fitter/Welder is responsible for preparing material surfaces to be welded per instructions. Will also operate various hand and power tools This position must be able to weld as needed. This is a safety sensitive position.RESPONSIBILITIESRegular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group.
