Job summary

MSS Solutions LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Fitter to support HVAC, mechanical and industrial projects. You will measure and cut pipe, perform soldering/brazing, install hangers, test systems and document work while maintaining safety and quality on job sites.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong teamwork with management and crews to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with all work related to HVAC Mechanical Industrial projects
• Measure and cut pipe according to requirements
• Soldering, brazing, threading, pipe grooving, pipe installing hangers as well as carbon steel pipe up to 24"
• Repairing malfunctions, breakages or leaks
• Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality
• Communicate professionally with management and team members
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Observe, report and correct unsafe work environments
• Collaborate with other workers to complete the project
• Responsible for managing and maintaining tools, equipment and project materials on job sites
• Complete all job related documentation and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain professional communication with customers at all times both in person and through electronic correspondence
• Responsible for the care and maintenance of company vehicles while adhering to all company Fleet Policy requirements
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time
• Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing and climbing
• Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping
• Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to talk and hear
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs maximum solo lift and constant lifting to 25 lbs placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification PDC
• Material Handling lifting from floor level to overhead with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and constant lifting up to 25 lbs placing the position in the very heavy physical demand classification PDC
