Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks an energetic Exercise Specialist to support healthy lifestyle habits at a fitness center in San Jose, CA. You will conduct fitness consultations, develop progressive programming, and ensure a positive participant experience.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field (or an NCCA-certified certification), CPR/AED and First Aid, and knowledge of exercise testing/prescription, plus Microsoft Office

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing and exercise prescription, and ability to operate fitness tools and equipment.
• Ability to network, engage and interact with all clients, guests and members.
• Competence with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct ongoing fitness consultations including movement screens, needs analyses and goal setting.
• Develop progressive fitness programming to support and motivate participants.
• Monitor and instruct participants on safe use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
• Educate participants on health and fitness information and available programs.
• Complete internal development courses through the learning platform.
• Maintain a positive customer and client experience with high quality service.
