Job summary

Planet Fitness Franchising, LLC is seeking a Fitness Trainer to lead the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, design simple workouts, and instruct proper equipment use. The role emphasizes helping new members achieve fitness goals with a positive, welcoming approach.

The position requires a current CPR certification and a nationally certified training certificate, with responsibilities spanning member coaching, class scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the club.

Qualifications

• Passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• 6–12 months of Customer Service experience preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
• Ability to pass background screening.
• Basic computer proficiency with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Run PE@PF programs for participants (3–8 people per session) and create schedules for members.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on proper and safe use of equipment.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Greet members and guests, provide exceptional customer service, and make members feel welcome.
• Answer phones and assist callers with questions; check members in and sign up new members.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Utilize POS system for memberships, cards, and billing questions.
• Keep the facility clean and orderly; regular cleaning of equipment and restrooms.
