Responsibilities
About the Fitness Trainer Role: As a Fitness Trainer, you will operate the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). Your responsibilities include:
- Creating class schedules for members, including Orientation and DYOP (Develop your own program).
- Engaging proactively with members on the club floor regarding their fitness goals, instructing on equipment use, and providing support.
- Promoting our Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members, offering assistance, and supporting their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
- Performing regular walks of all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience, addressing issues promptly.
- Conducting prospective member calls and tours to assess their needs and promote Trainer services.
Daily tasks may also include:
- Greeting members and guests, assisting with questions or concerns during check-in.
- Answering phones courteously and assisting callers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all exercise equipment and amenities regularly, including communal spaces.
- Ensuring restrooms are clean, stocked, and clutter-free following routine schedules.
Qualifications
About Your Qualifications:- 6-12 months of customer service experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Willing to obtain CPR/AED certification (training provided).
- Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands:- Standing and moving throughout the club during shifts.
- Communicating in person and on the phone.
- Lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Encountering cleaning chemicals.
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
- Moving and positioning self in various postures.
