Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Vermont seeks an experienced Per Diem Fitness Specialist to lead scheduled exercise classes for residents in Senior Living Communities across multiple counties. The role emphasizes programs for flexibility, cardio, strength, and balance with a base pay of $50 per class and opportunities for growth and scholarships.

Required: Fitness instructor certification (ACSM/NSCA/ACE/IDEA/SFA), a BA/BS in Exercise Science or related field, and at least 1 year of relevant

• Certification as Fitness Instructor through an accredited national organization (ACSM/NSCA/ACE/IDEA/SFA).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Fitness Specialist, preferably in a senior services setting.
• Solid computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled group exercise classes for residents of Senior Living Communities, focusing on flexibility, cardio, strength/power, balance and standing exercises.
• Develop fitness classes designed to promote positive fitness levels for a senior population.
• Ensure safety and adapt activities to resident needs.

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Per Diem Fitness Specialist to lead scheduled exercise classes designed to develop and maintain positive fitness levels for residents in a Senior Living Community (Assisted Living Facilities and Independent Living Facilities) in Washington, Orange, Chittenden, Addison and Franklin county, Vermont. Fitness Specialist Benefits Responsibilities:

• Base pay rate $50.00 class
• Develop fitness classes which are designed to develop and promote positive fitness levels for a senior population.

Qualifications for a Fitness Specialist:

• Certification as a Fitness Instructor, or equivalent, through an accredited national exercise/fitness organization such as ACSM, NSCA, ACE, IDEA or SFA.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Fitness Specialist, preferably in a senior services setting.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
