Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Baltimore County is seeking an experienced Per Diem Fitness Specialist Sub to lead scheduled exercise classes for residents in Senior Living Communities, including Assisted Living and Independent Living facilities.

The role requires a Fitness Certification and availability for all class days/times. Base pay is $50.00 per hour, and BAYADA offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within a values-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Fitness Instructor through an accredited organization (ACSM/NSCA/ACE/IDEA/SFA).
• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Fitness Specialist, preferably in a senior services setting.
• Solid computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled group exercise classes for residents in Senior Living Communities.
• Develop classes to promote flexibility, cardio, strength/power, balance and standing exercises.

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Per Diem Fitness Specialist Sub to lead scheduled exercise classes designed to develop and maintain positive fitness levels for residents in a Senior Living Community (Assisted Living Facilities and Independent Living Facilities) in Baltimore County. As a member of our Senior Living Team, you will be an integral component of a continuum of care.

Fitness Certification is required. Must be available for all class days/times.

Fitness Specialist Benefits Responsibilities:

• Lead scheduled group exercise classes for the residents of Senior Living Communities, preferably one that can teach flexibility, cardio, strength/power, balancing and standing exercises.
• Develop fitness classes which are designed to develop and promote positive fitness levels for a senior population.

Qualifications for a Fitness Specialist:

• Certification as a Fitness Instructor, or equivalent, through an accredited national exercise/fitness organization such as ACSM, NSCA, ACE, IDEA or SFA.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Fitness Specialist, preferably in a senior services setting.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Additional Information:

Base Pay, depending upon qualifications:
$50.00 per hour (60 minutes)
