Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Fitness Specialist at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD. You will assess residents, design individualized fitness plans, and promote healthy, active lifestyles within our retirement community.

The role emphasizes safety, personalized coaching, and collaboration with wellness staff to support residents’ well-being and mobility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fitness assessments including vital signs.
• Prescribe appropriate exercise programs (flexibility, strength, cardio).
• Educate and evaluate members on proper exercise techniques.
• Assist with coordination and implementation of Wellness programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe fitness area for members.
• Build relationships with residents and staff to encourage activity.

Location: Riderwood Village by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Fitness Specialist to join our team. The Fitness Specialist will assess, monitor, and develop individual fitness programs for residents.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Performing fitness assessments which include vital signs.
