Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Avery Point continuing care community in Short Pump, Virginia, is seeking a Fitness Specialist to assess residents, prescribe personalized exercise programs, and monitor progress to support healthy, active aging. Requirements include CPR/First Aid certification and at least 1 year of related experience; personal training experience is a plus.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fitness assessments including vital signs.
• Prescribe an appropriate exercise program for residents.
• Educate and evaluate residents on exercise techniques.
• Assist with coordination and implementation of Wellness programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe fitness area for residents.
• Build strong relationships with residents and staff to promote activity.

Location: Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living

Compensation: $20/hr, based on experience.

Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Join our team as a Fitness Specialist to join our team. The Fitness Specialist will assess, monitor, and develop individual fitness programs for residents.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Performing fitness assessments which include vital signs.
• Prescribing an appropriate exercise program, including flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular training.
• Educating and evaluating members on proper exercise techniques.
• Assisting with coordination and implementation of Wellness programs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe fitness area for members.
• Building strong relationships with residents and staff, encouraging them to be physically active.

What You Will Need

• Minimum of 1-year related work experience
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training Experience preferred
