Overview

At D1 Training Arlington Heights, we train the athlete in everyone. Whether it’s a 7-year-old looking to build athleticism or an adult chasing performance goals, our mission is to empower individuals to reach their highest potential through world-class coaching, elite programming, and an energetic, goal-driven environment.

As the General Manager, you will lead our team and facility operations, with a strong focus on sales performance, leadership development, and financial accountability. This is a high-impact role designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and motivate a high-performing team of coaches and front desk staff
  2. Drive membership and training package sales, hitting or exceeding monthly targets
  3. Own the full sales pipeline: lead generation, consultations, follow-ups, and conversions
  4. Manage facility operations and deliver a first-class experience to every athlete
  5. Conduct weekly team meetings and 1-on-1 check-ins to maintain alignment and accountability
  6. Oversee monthly budgeting and financial reporting; review P&L statements with ownership
  7. Partner with staff to monitor member progress, satisfaction, and retention
  8. Represent the D1 brand at community and promotional events
  9. Ensure the team delivers consistent energy, professionalism, and expertise in every session
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or higher required
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience, ideally in a fitness, health, or retail setting
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, with a proven ability to close
  • Strong leadership skills — confident, accountable, and team-first
  • Understanding of gym operations, KPIs, and sales metrics
  • Tech-savvy with experience using CRM/POS software
  • High-energy, approachable, and passionate about helping others achieve their goals
  • Flexible schedule with availability on evenings and weekends as needed
