Job summary

Loudoun County Government is seeking a full-time Fitness Programmer in Virginia to lead group exercise and personal training programs at the Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center in Sterling. You will supervise part-time staff, develop a robust class schedule, and ensure safety and program quality for community fitness initiatives.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma with four years of related experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with four years related work experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, or related field.
• Certifications in fitness standards are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Create and supervise fitness programs including group exercise and personal training.
• Provide fitness instructor training as needed and supervise staff.
• Develop and market a varied monthly Group Exercise class schedule.
• Establish program evaluation benchmarks and apply insights to future planning.
• Maintain a safe environment for all participants.
