Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro seeks a Coordinator, Fitness Operations to lead the fitness spaces at the Kaplan Center. You will supervise 30–40 student employees, recruit, onboard, schedule, and train staff while ensuring excellent customer service, proper equipment usage, and rigorous risk management.

The role requires a relevant Bachelor's degree with experience, and national certifications in group fitness or personal training, plus CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
• National certification in group fitness and/or personal training.
• Team-player philosophy and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to student leadership development and academic success.
• American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage fitness spaces in the Kaplan Center (216,000 sq ft).
• Directly supervise 30–40 part-time student employees via recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, evaluation and development.
• Maintain service excellence with customer service, equipment usage, emergency procedures and risk management.
