Under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Director of Fitness, the Coordinator, Fitness Operations is responsible for the coordination and management of the fitness spaces in the 216,000 sq ft. Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness. The Coordinator, Fitness Operations also directly supervises and develops a team of approximately 30-40 part-time student employees through recruitment, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, evaluating, and ongoing professional development. The position is responsible for maintaining service excellence by ensuring staff are knowledgeable in customer service, equipment usage, emergency response procedures, and risk management practices.
American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certification or able to attain within first three months. Drivers license required. National certification in group exercise and/or personal training.
