The Fitness Manager (FM) is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience, both personally and through Coach supervision. FM’s are responsible for delivering excellent member service, private training, and supplement revenue. They address member issues, employee relations issues, and oversee scheduling and timekeeping activities. They communicate and enforce Company and Club policies and procedures regularly. FM’s are accountable for achieving revenue goals related to private training and supplements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staffing and Development
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a strong team of coaches and potential leaders.
- Maintain a fully engaged and high-performing Personal Training/MMA team aligned with company values and goals.
Club Administration
- Ensure Coaches are productive, communicate revenue and service goals, and keep the Club on track to meet financial targets. Conduct regular meetings with Coaches to review performance and operations, providing guidance towards achieving club goals.
- Handle member service matters, such as club tours, explaining services, signing members up for training and appointments. Mediate member issues and complaints promptly and escalate when necessary.
- Perform administrative and housekeeping duties as needed.
- Report repairs and maintenance needs to Operations; conduct daily facility walk-throughs.
- Follow operational procedures and conduct compliance checks.
Sell and Conduct Personal Training with Members
- Assist members on the floor and promote involvement in private training.
- Ensure accurate administration of client programs, supplement sales, and workout tracking. Be punctual and prepared for appointments.
- Participate in revenue-generating activities like workouts, supplement booths, seminars, etc.
- Sell training sessions, conduct prospecting, tours, and sales through the Turn-Over process.
- Achieve monthly revenue targets for private training and supplements.
- Review sales performance with the VP and staff, and implement strategies to meet goals.
- Administer company policies related to sales.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Deep knowledge of Personal Training techniques from assessment to program design.
- Working knowledge of DotFIT software.
- Ability to operate all Fitness equipment.
- Knowledge of company policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude.
- Strong customer service orientation and professionalism.
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and organize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Required Experience:
- At least 1 certification from an organization recognized by UFC Gym.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Four-year degree in a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- Management/employee relations experience (preferred).
