Job Summary

As a Fitness Instructor at Movement Climbing, Yoga, & Fitness, you will plan and execute classes safely, efficiently, and attentively. You will collaborate with team members and gym leadership to deliver excellent offerings that serve our members and guests. Reports to the Fitness Program Manager.

We are also seeking instructors for Zumba, Mat Pilates, Les Mills, and other group fitness modalities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer experience
  • Teach high-quality fitness classes focusing on strength, flexibility, mobility, and stability
  • Ensure classes are safe, educational, and professional
  • Adapt to different fitness levels with appropriate options and cueing
  • Build a loyal participant base and maintain strong attendance by:
    • Developing relationships with participants
    • Partnering with leadership to market classes
    • Keeping accurate attendance records
  • Create a welcoming, clean, organized, and comfortable class environment

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years Certified Personal Trainer or equivalent experience
  • Nationally recognized Group Exercise certification and/or certified personal training certification
  • 2+ years successful group fitness teaching experience (equivalent of 100+ hours)
  • Ability to employ diverse teaching strategies to meet various needs
  • Proven ability to build a following and maintain attendance
  • Availability for peak hours and rotating community outreach schedule
  • Ability to handle administrative duties related to classes

Additional Information

  • Part-time position
  • Starting at $28.00/hr, flexible based on experience
  • Benefits include free membership, in-gym discounts, guest visits, and pro-deals
  • New hires will undergo screening
  • Shift times may vary weekly or monthly
