Blackberry Farm, LLC. is seeking a Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer to conduct group fitness classes and personalized training sessions. You will educate and counsel guests while delivering high-quality service in a spa setting.

You will assist the Wellness Manager in creating exercise programming, stay current with exercise science, and help promote home care programs and retail products. CPR certification and HS diploma are required, with experience in wellness centers preferred.

Formación

• Experience in individual/group counseling preferred.
• Previous hospital or wellness center experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct group fitness classes and/or personal training sessions.
• Remain current on scientific exercise information.
• Ensure confidentiality with respect to guest data according to HIPAA regulations and Blackberry confidentiality guidelines.
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
• Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the Company’s property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guests of the same, whenever possible.
• Ensure the maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
• Attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the Center.
• Assist in all areas of the spa operation, including the locker room as needed, as requested by management.
• Actively promote home care programs, meeting retail sales goals.
• Maintain a professional reputation in the company and community.
• Prepare and safely handle beverages and snack items offered.
• Ensure the cleanliness and restocking of supplies.
• Perform any tasks deemed necessary by the manager.

The Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer will conduct exercise classes and programming at Blackberry. The Fitness Instructor provides high-quality service to guests through education and counseling. The Fitness Instructor will assist the Wellness Manager in creating and providing exercise programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must comply with all company policies and procedures. To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and consistent attendance is required. Must be able to work well with other Team Members and managers and interact with our guests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Experience in individual/ group counseling preferred
• Previous hospital or wellness center experience preferred
• Current CPR Certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to prepare/write educational materials for guests
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic knowledge and understanding of math
• Ability to calculate calorie and nutrient requirements

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. and equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to work in a calm and quiet spa setting
