The Fitness/Yoga Instructor provides high-quality service to guests through education and counseling.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Conduct group fitness classes• Remains current on scientific exercise information• Ensures confidentiality concerning guest data according to HIPAA regulations and Blackberry confidentiality guidelines• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered• Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required• Maintain a working knowledge of the property, as well as special events on and near the property.• Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.• Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the Center.• Assist in all areas of the spa operation, including locker room as needed, as requested by management• Actively promote home care programs, meeting retail sales goals.• Maintain a professional reputation in the company and community• Have a thorough knowledge of all items sold in the juice bar• Properly prepare and safely handle beverages and snack items offered• Ensure the cleanliness and of restocking of supplies of the juice bar• Perform any tasks deemed necessary by the managerMust comply with all company policies and procedures.To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and predictable attendance is required.Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.Must have the flexibility to work nights and weekends.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE• Experience in individual/ group counseling preferred• Previous hospital or wellness center experience preferred.• Current CPR Certification• High school diploma or equivalentLANGUAGE SKILLS• Must have excellent verbal communication skills• Must have the ability to prepare/write educational materials for guests• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team membersMATHEMATICAL SKILLS• Basic knowledge and understanding of math• Ability to calculate calorie and nutrient requirementsREASONING ABILITY• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goalsPHYSICAL DEMANDS• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods• Lift and move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. and equipment up to 75 lbs.• Must be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safelyWORK ENVIRONMENT• Must be able to work in a calm and quiet spa setting
