Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on proper and safe use of equipment.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members and showing support, upholding club policies.
• Perform comprehensive walks of all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience; quickly address identified issues.
• Create bi‑weekly update exercise variations.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally; elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Assist with front‑desk activities: answer phones, check members in, handle new member sign‑up, tour prospective members, update member accounts.
• Maintain club neatness and cleanliness: clean and sanitize equipment and spa amenities; conduct cleanings and fix safety/policy issues; ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and clutter‑free.

Qualifications

• Previous Fitness Trainer/Instructor experience preferred.
• Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability required.
• Exceptional customer service skills, able to interact professionally and exceed member expectations.
• Strong listening, empathizing, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Diplomatic in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to toxic chemicals during shift.
• Movement in various positions: bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, twisting.
