Job summary

Rec-Plex in Saint Peters, MO is seeking enthusiastic Fitness Instructors to lead private, semi-private and group fitness programs, while ensuring a safe and motivating environment for all participants.

You will respond to member needs, monitor activities, and help develop new programs, while supporting staff and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School graduate or GED required
• Experience in teaching swim lessons is a plus
• First Aid and CPR/AED Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Instruct and oversee a variety of fitness programs and monitor activities in assigned areas
• Assist in developing new fitness programs and procedures for Rec-Plex activities
• Communicate effectively to answer questions and concerns
• Assist staff with handling difficult situations and direct concerns for optimal outcomes
• Perform general janitorial duties as needed and maintain equipment, facility and environment in a safe and sanitary condition

• Assists staff with handling difficult situations and makes judgments on how to direct concerns to ensure optimal outcome.
• Performs general janitorial duties as needed and maintains equipment, facility and environment in a safe and sanitary condition.
