Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a part-time Fitness Instructor to lead group exercise classes at our Deerfield, IL fitness center. You will design inclusive routines, deliver engaging classes, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for employees and approved participants.

Must hold a Group Exercise Certification from a recognized organization, CPR and First Aid certifications, and have 1–3 years of group exercise experience. Evening/morning shifts available.

Qualifications

• Group Exercise Primary certification from nationally recognized org (e.g. AFAA, ACE, IDEA).
• CPR certification with hands-on training (AHA/ARC/BLS).
• First Aid certification with hands-on skills evaluation.
• 1–3 years of experience instructing group exercise classes.
• Yoga instructors must have a 200-hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Leads group exercise classes for members and approved participants.
• Designs inclusive routines with modifications for all fitness levels.
• Delivers excellent customer service and a positive class experience.
• Creates a safe environment by adhering to site safety and injury prevention procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Part Time Fitness Instructor, you'll provide care to client employees in our Fitness Center located in Deerfield, IL.

About this Role

• 2 - 6 Classes Per Week
• Classes Mon - Fri | Morning (6:00 am - 8:00 am), Lunch(11:00 am - 1:00 pm) or Afternoons (3:30 pm - 5:30 pm)
• Offering General Classes (Cardio, Strength, Stretch & Mobility)
• Offering Specialized Classes (Zumba or Pilates)
• Access to Club Connect

What You’ll Do

• Leads group exercise classes for members and approved participants.
• Designs inclusive routines with modifications for all fitness levels.
• Delivers excellent customer service and a positive class experience.
• Creates a safe environment by adhering to site specific safety and injury prevention procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Group Exercise Primary certification from nationally recognized organization (e.g. AFAA, ACE, IDEA) or
• Specialty certifications as determined by class format or
• Yoga instructors must have at least participated in a 200 hour certification.
• Current CPR certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC, or Basic Life Support for community/lay responder, along with First Aid certification that includes hands-on skills evaluation, required.
• 1-3 years of experience instructing group exercise classes.
• Experience in the corporate fitness setting preferred.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for teaching fitness classes at a rate of $45.00 per class. Separately, Premise compensates team members $18.00 per hour for administrative duties. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
