Fitness Gym Attendant

What You'll Do:

• Assist members when on duty and serve them professionally.
• Uphold the reputation of the JCC positively.
• Implement fitness-based programming.
• Check member workouts for safety issues and inform members of unsafe exercises.
• Learn members' names to enhance customer service; refer questions to the Manager on Duty when needed.
• During downtime, organize weights, clean, manage towels, and perform other assigned duties.
• Enforce all policies and procedures of the Sports & Wellness Department.
• Notify the Manager on Duty immediately if equipment is unsafe or not functioning properly.
• Monitor televisions and music for appropriate content and volume, changing stations as needed.
• Report problems or needs to the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance at all times.
• Provide high-level personalized member service with a positive attitude.
• Oversee and guide members and non-members in the basketball gymnasium during free play, ensuring smooth games and maintaining the scoreboard.
• Coordinate league activities and ensure adherence to rules, recording scores as directed.
• Keep sports areas clean by removing debris and trash.
• Prioritize safety, stopping dangerous play and restricting access if necessary.
• Suggest alternative programming options and gather member feedback for new programs.

Compensation
