Fitness Gym Attendant
What You'll Do:
- Assist members when on duty and serve them professionally.
- Uphold the reputation of the JCC positively.
- Implement fitness-based programming.
- Check member workouts for safety issues and inform members of unsafe exercises.
- Learn members' names to enhance customer service; refer questions to the Manager on Duty when needed.
- During downtime, organize weights, clean, manage towels, and perform other assigned duties.
- Enforce all policies and procedures of the Sports & Wellness Department.
- Notify the Manager on Duty immediately if equipment is unsafe or not functioning properly.
- Monitor televisions and music for appropriate content and volume, changing stations as needed.
- Report problems or needs to the Manager on Duty.
- Maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance at all times.
- Provide high-level personalized member service with a positive attitude.
- Oversee and guide members and non-members in the basketball gymnasium during free play, ensuring smooth games and maintaining the scoreboard.
- Coordinate league activities and ensure adherence to rules, recording scores as directed.
- Keep sports areas clean by removing debris and trash.
- Prioritize safety, stopping dangerous play and restricting access if necessary.
- Suggest alternative programming options and gather member feedback for new programs.

What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma
- At least 18 years of age
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
Schedule
Friday 3:00 PM - 6:15 PM
Saturday and Sunday 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Compensation
$11.97 - $14.47 / HR Depending on Experience
