Job summary

Tetherow Resort in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Fitness Front Desk Supervisor to oversee the fitness center front desk operations during assigned shifts, ensuring a high standard of service. You will delegate tasks, monitor appearance and performance, handle member registrations and POS transactions, maintain facilities, and support scheduling and training of team members.

Ideal candidate has at least one year in retail or fitness front desk roles, strong communication, and a passion for delivering

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in retail or fitness center customer service
• Experience in supervisory or lead roles preferred
• Strong communication and guest-service orientation
• Ability to handle scheduling and front desk tasks effectively
• Ability to work varied shifts including mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays

Who you are...

• You have a minimum of one year of experience in a retail or fitness center customer service position, ideally you have supervisory or lead level experience
• You have a current membership in a fitness center, or have a strong knowledge of fitness center operations; fitness industry and resort and/or high-end club related service experience strongly preferred
• You have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
• You have excellent communication skills, a customer service focus and strong interpersonal abilities
• You exhibit effective conflict resolution, problem solving, decision-making and time management skills
• You are energetic, inspiring and adventurous and present a professional appearance and pleasant, positive demeanor and attitude
• You work well independently, and in a task-oriented, team environment, developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
• You are computer proficient and have experience performing sales transactions
• You are available to work varying schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays and extended hours as business needs dictate
• You have a high school diploma or equivalency degree

What you’ll do...

• Supervise the fitness center front desk operations during your assigned shift to a consistently high standard
• Delegate daily tasks, and monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of fitness front desk team members, with an emphasis on training and teamwork
• Act as the hub of information for all things Tetherow Fitness/Sport related
• Be a direct contact for the fitness front desk team, addressing scheduling challenges and filling open shifts
• Register members and guests in a friendly, professional, and expedient manner and perform point-of-sale transactions
• Provide amenities and maintain the facility, including locker rooms, pool deck, and front desk
• Perform regular facility checks for cleanliness and safety and enforce all rules and regulations of pool areas
• Assist Tetherow Sport management with scheduling and other operational tasks, as needed
• Communicate clearly and develop strong working relationships with all team members, contributing to a positive and cohesive working environment and positive morale
• Handle complaints and problems in a professional manner to ensure a successful outcome
• Assist in the recruit and training of new team members
