Job summary

SI Solutions, LLC is looking for a Mid-Level Analytical Engineer to perform stress analysis and fatigue evaluations for heavy equipment in the power generation sector. This role combines technical execution and client interaction while mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities include leading analyses related to thermal behavior and conducting life assessments. Candidates should have a relevant B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree with extensive experience in engineering within the energy industry.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant engineering experience with M.S. or Ph.D.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience with B.S.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–15% annually.

Responsibilities

• Lead finite element and fracture mechanics analyses.
• Prepare technical reports and respond to client inquiries.
• Participate in proposal development and project discussions.

Skills

Knowledge of power generation and energy industry systems

Proficiency in applied fracture mechanics principles

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Programming or scripting experience in Python or R

Proficiency with Abaqus or ANSYS

Education

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
