Job summary

Salem YMCA is hiring a Fitness Floor Staff member in Salem, MA. The role supports members and program participants in a welcoming environment, greeting members, ensuring equipment is clean and safe, and demonstrating exercises and machines.

You will promote ongoing fitness programs and help prospective members with tours and information. The ideal candidate is 18+, with CPR and First Aid certification, and ideally holds a Personal Trainer Certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Personal Trainer Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs and spot participants with heavy weights.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and assist with questions.
• Keep equipment clean and safe for use.
• Demonstrate exercises and proper use of machines.
• Promote fitness programs and services.
