Job summary

The Marblehead YMCA is seeking a friendly Fitness Floor team member to welcome and engage with members, demonstrate exercises, help with equipment, and share information about programs.

You will guide tours for prospective members, maintain a clean, safe fitness space, and encourage involvement in the Y community. The role emphasizes service, teamwork, and a passion for health.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• CPR and First Aid certifications must be maintained.
• Shifts required: Thursdays 4pm–9pm and Sundays 12pm–6:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage with members; assist with program participation and questions.
• Maintain a clean, safe fitness center and demonstrate exercises/equipment.
• Provide tours to prospective members and encourage program involvement in the YMCA community.

Are you passionate about fitness and eager to make a real difference in your community? If you love helping others stay active and healthy, we'd love to have you join our team at the Marblehead YMCA!

As part of our Fitness Floor team, you'll play a key role in supporting members and program participants on their wellness journeys. Your day will include welcoming and engaging with members, maintaining a clean and safe fitness center, demonstrating exercises and equipment, and sharing information about additional programs to help members reach their goals. You'll also give prospective members tours, answer questions, and encourage deeper involvement in our Y community.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a working knowledge of fitness programs and exercises.
• Connects easily with people of all ages and abilities, bringing encouragement and positivity.
• Is interested in fitness, exercise science, personal training, or customer service.

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Must maintain CPR, and First Aid certifications
• We are looking for Thursday from 4pm to 9pm and Sunday from 12pm to 630pm
