HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, seeks a friendly Fitness Floor Attendant for our corporate client site in Chicago, IL. You will supervise the exercise floor, assist members with their fitness needs and deliver excellent service in a welcoming environment.

This on-call role offers flexible hours and involves safety monitoring, front desk interaction, and basic facility upkeep. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 30 days; prior fitness experience is preferred.

About the role

HealthFitness s seeking a friendly and motivated Fitness Floor Attendant to join the fitness team at our corporate client site in Chicago, IL . In this role, you'll help create a welcoming, safe, and engaging fitness environment by providing exercise floor supervision, assisting members with their fitness needs, and delivering exceptional customer service.

This is an on-call position ideal for individuals seeking flexibility and the opportunity to stay connected to a dynamic fitness community.

Responsible for providing exercise floor supervision and interacting with members and program participants within the fitness center.

Key Accountabilities

• Interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
• Welcomes members by greeting, answering questions, responding to requests while at front desk and input data into membership system.
• Performs facility maintenance responsibilities; ensures facility, equipment and locker rooms are clean and always stocked.
• Understand and execute the Emergency Medical Procedures throughout the facility.
• Demonstrate and instruct on the proper use of exercise equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Adult CPR/AED & First Aid certifications from the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the American Safety & Health Institute will be required within first 30 days of hire.
• Prior fitness and customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Computer application knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred.
• Physical demands require having the ability to lift up to 40 lb. weights for restacking.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.

The compensation for this role is $17.05/hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
