Job description

Overview

McCollister’s Fitness Solutions is seeking hands-on, mechanically inclined individuals to join our growing team as Fitness Equipment Repair Technicians. No prior fitness equipment experience is necessary—if you have a background in automotive repair, appliance servicing (washer/dryer), electrical motors, or general mechanical work, we’ll provide the training you need to succeed. This role also includes pre-building new fitness equipment in preparation for delivery and installation.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in various types of fitness equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, strength machines, etc.)
  • Pre-build and assemble equipment according to specifications before delivery
  • Use manuals, schematics, and technical documents to guide repairs and assembly
  • Perform preventative maintenance and replace parts (belts, motors, wiring, etc.)
  • Maintain service records and communicate job status to coordinators or clients
  • Keep a clean, organized workspace (warehouse and/or client site)
  • Travel to customer sites for on-location diagnostics and repairs, as needed
Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience in auto repair, appliance repair, HVAC, electrical motors, or similar trades
  • Familiarity with tools (hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment)
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Preferred but Not Required
  • Prior experience working with fitness equipment
  • Basic understanding of electronics and wiring
  • Experience with fitness brands such as Technogym, Matrix, Life Fitness, or Precor
