Job summary

Wesley Willows in Rockford, IL seeks a part-time Fitness Coordinator to lead fitness and aquatic classes, personal training, and wellness assessments for residents. The role emphasizes program planning, safety, and engagement in a supportive senior living environment.

The ideal candidate will hold relevant certifications (training, CPR/Lifeguard) and have a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles among seniors. AM shifts are available to fit a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in health science, physiology, kinesiology, fitness, or a related field (preferred).
• Personal training and/or group exercise certification (preferred).
• CPR and Lifeguard certification (preferred).
• Willing to pursue certifications for the right candidate.
• Must have a passion for fitness and working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fitness and aquatic classes, personal training, and wellness assessments.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate fitness programs that promote healthy lifestyles.
• Track resident participation and sustain engagement through motivation and new initiatives.
• Ensure safe, clean facilities and maintain exercise equipment with preventative care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and support departmental goals as needed.
