Job Purpose

To monitor the fitness center, insuring the safety of the patrons and security of the facility.

Essential Duties

• Maintain general security by checking University ID’s and membership cards of everyone entering the fitness center
• Monitor the facility and enforce policies
• Collect guest fees
• Answer the telephone, give information, and take messages
• Refill wipe dispensers when needed
• Record, report and label machines/equipment that is out of order
  
  

Additional Skills Required

• Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact diplomatically with patrons of the fitness center
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments with minimal direction
• Must be punctual, dependable and dedicated
• Knowledge of procedures for reporting injuries or other incidents
• Must be able to respect, support and contribute to the university’s Catholic and Jesuit mission
  
  

Minimum Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
  

Preferred Education

Minimum Job Experience Requirements:

• Basic first-aid and CPR/AED certification is required, but certification can be acquired within first 90 days of hire

Schedule/Work Hours: This is a regular, part time position, with a set schedule year round: Monday, 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.; Tuesday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.; Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time

Annual Schedule: 12
