Job summary

Exos in New York is seeking an Assistant Manager, Fitness to lead programs, manage staff, and build strong client relationships while fostering a culture of health and wellness.

In this hands‑on role you’ll oversee personal training and group exercise, mentor interns, develop health promotion initiatives, and ensure safety and high-quality service across diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of management experience overseeing a large staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related field (e.g., Kinesiology, Exercise Science).
• Current nationally recognized personal training certification (ACE, NASM, NSCA or equivalent).
• Outgoing personality with excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure program success and satisfaction.
• Develop strategic annual plans, achieving short- and long-term program goals.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, and financial management for fitness programs and operations.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff while fostering growth and managing performance.
• Lead personal training and group exercise programs with high-quality service and client engagement.
• Mentor college interns and provide professional development opportunities.
• Design and deliver health promotion initiatives and incentive programs.
