Job summary

Exos Partners, LLC in New York City is seeking an Assistant Manager, Fitness to lead fitness programs, manage staff, and build strong client relationships while fostering a culture of health and wellness. You will work hands-on with teams of fitness professionals and deliver engaging health promotion initiatives to drive results.

The role encompasses budgeting, recruiting and training, supervising personal training and group classes, mentoring interns, and creating a safe, inclusive gym

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience overseeing a large staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related field.
• Current personal training certification (ACE/NASM/NSCA or equivalent).
• Outgoing personality with excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure program success.
• Develop strategic annual plans to achieve short- and long-term goals.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, and financial management for fitness programs and operations.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise full- and part-time staff.
• Lead and oversee personal training and group exercise programs.
• Mentor and guide college interns and provide professional development.
• Design and evaluate health promotion initiatives and incentive programs.
• Conduct fitness assessments and develop exercise prescriptions.
• Supervise the exercise floor to maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Manage memberships and related inquiries.
