Job summary

As a Fitness Attendant at Sentry's Wellness Center in Stevens Point, you’ll greet members, answer inquiries, and help with front-desk tasks. You’ll guide tours, train on equipment, and ensure safety while supporting wellness programs for associates.

This on-call, part-time role requires First Aid/CPR/AED certification and strong organizational and communication skills. Hours vary by business needs, typically Monday through Friday 5:30 am–6:30 pm.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety, verify entries, manage memberships, and enforce policies.
• Lead tours of the facility for new members.
• Conduct equipment orientations and provide training to ensure safety.
• Maintain inventory and distribute fitness equipment and supplies.
• Promote Wellness Center services and communicate new programs.

Job description

Provides customer service support at the Wellness Center front desk by greeting members and providing prompt information to current and prospective members. As a Fitness Attendant at Sentry's Wellness Center, you will play a critical part in providing health and wellness service to other Sentry Insurance associates. Hours for this on-call role vary by business needs, typically falling Monday through Friday between 5:30 am and 6:30 pm.

What You’ll Do

• Perform general administrative tasks at the Wellness Center front desk including, but not limited to greeting members, answering phones, responding to emails, and inquiries in person.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of exercise equipment.
• Monitor member safety and maintains security of the Wellness Center confirming all member are scanned upon entry and memberships are up to date. Processes new memberships, files paperwork, and enforces Wellness Center policies.
• Lead tours of the facility to new members.
• Lead equipment orientations, monitors equipment use, and provides training/guidance on all equipment to ensure member safety.
• Maintain equipment inventory and distribute fitness equipment/supplies as necessary.
• Maintain core knowledge of Wellness Center services, programs, and events. Encourages member participation and actively communicates new initiatives and new Wellness Center programs.

What It Takes

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Must obtain and/or maintain certifications First Aid, CPR, and AED
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Interested in health promotion and wellness programs
• Good organizational skills.
• Outgoing personality, punctual and reliable
• Ability to learn and retain information related to services and programs.
• Ability to resolve conflict in a professional and positive manner.
