Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Fitness Specialist to join a Center for Personal Fitness in Esko, Minnesota. You will perform fitness assessments, interpret and tailor personalized exercise programs for members, and help ensure safe use of weight and aerobic equipment.

The role also involves equipment upkeep, leading fitness classes when needed, training new staff on Essentia Health policies, and occasionally covering shifts at the Esko center and the Miller Hill Health Plaza in Duluth.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification required or obtainable within 6 months from date of hire.
• Casual/as-needed schedule
• Day/evening rotation and rotating weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform fitness assessments and consultations.
• Interpret and formulate personalized exercise programs for members.
• Orientate members in safe and proper use of weight and aerobic equipment.
• Take care of scheduled maintenance of weight and aerobic equipment.
• Teach exercise and fitness classes as needed.
• Train new fitness staff in Essentia Health policies and procedures.
• Cover shifts at Center for Personal Fitness in Esko and, as needed, Miller Hill Health Plaza in Duluth
