Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's HealthFit_CKA is seeking a dedicated fitness support professional to conduct risk assessments, equipment orientation, and fitness assessments for new members, helping to build personal training volume.

You will serve as the go-to for equipment questions, provide spotting, monitor equipment safety, and perform a variety of technical and support duties to assist daily HealthFit operations, including promoting services, stocking towels, scanning, and filing

Qualifications

• Require current nationally accredited fitness certification; ACSM preferred or enrolled in a nationally accredited fitness certification program within 30 days and obtain certification within six months of hire/transfer date.
• Require Basic Life Support/CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health risk assessments, equipment orientation, and fitness assessments for new members to build personal training volume.
• Serve as the go-to for members on equipment usage and provide spotting and safety assistance.
• Monitor and maintain fitness equipment ensuring safe and effective use.
• Perform various technical and support duties to assist daily HealthFit operations: promote services, stock and fold towels, scan and file member records, store equipment and supplies.
• Assume additional duties and projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Health/Fitness or related field.
• Prefer previous experience as a personal trainer and/or exercise specialist.
