Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fit Up Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of fit up processes and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. This role involves precise measurement and alignment of components to ensure accurate assembly and welding.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand the welding requirements.
2. Perform fit up of metal components and structures, ensuring precise alignment and spacing.
3. Measure parts using various tools (e.g., calipers, tape measures) to guarantee compliance with specifications.
4. Prepare, clean, and position parts for welding, ensuring maximum stability during the process.
5. Conduct visual inspections of weld quality and fit up accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
6. Operate welding equipment (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to complete welds according to industry standards.
7. Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
8. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a fit up welder or in a similar role.
3. Strong understanding of welding techniques, processes, and equipment.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
5. Proficient in measuring and inspection techniques.
6. Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
