Our company is a global sourcing company that specializes in the manufacturing and sales of activewear and sportswear. We are looking for a full-time technical designer who enjoys a fast-paced, multitask, organized, detail-oriented person to join our team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fit Technical Designer to ensure the fit, quality, and performance of our activewear from concept through production. This role bridges design vision and technical execution, translating creative concepts into garments that support movement, comfort, and durability. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of performance fabrics and construction, and plays a key role in achieving consistent fit and functionality across all product categories. Working cross-functionally, this position partners closely with design, product development, and vendors to deliver high-quality, performance-driven apparel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead fit sessions on live models, evaluating garment fit, balance, and overall appearance
  • Analyze and interpret design sketches, specs, and prototypes to ensure accurate execution
  • Create and maintain detailed technical packages (tech packs), including measurements, grading, construction detailss, and performance requirements
  • Collaborate closely with design, product development, and production teams to achieve desired fit and quality
  • Communicate fit corrections and construction adjustments to vendors and factories
  • Review and approve samples (proto, fit, PP, TOP) to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Ensure consistency of fit across styles, categories, and seasons
  • Troubleshoot garment construction and pattern issues
  • Maintain size standards and grading rules
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in technical design or fit (apparel industry)
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading
  • Experience leading fit sessions and working with live models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Confident, engaging verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to create the specs from a sketch or picture.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with global vendors and factories
  • Knowledge of fabric behavior and performance
  • Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with 3D fit tools (e.g., CLO, Browzwear)
