Alaska Department of Fish & Game, Division of Commercial Fisheries, is seeking a Fish and Game Program Technician in Nome, Alaska. The role serves as the first contact point for the public and supports licensing, clerical tasks, payroll, and travel authorizations.

The position requires strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information. Office-based with potential travel to villages and field camps.

Formación

• Two years of office clerical experience or technical experience related to fish, wildlife or habitat resources.
• One year of experience providing advanced clerical services based on established procedures, precedents, and policies in administrative, informative, and/or programmatic functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to handle sensitive confidential information.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the first point of contact for the public in person or by phone.
• Answer questions about Fish & Game regulations, openings/closures, and direct to staff when needed.
• Issue fishing, hunting, and trapping licenses, tags, permits, and process related clerical tasks.
• Provide payroll, travel authorizations, and data entry support for biological staff.
