Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience and degree/credential requirements.
• B.S. degree in Marine Biology, Fisheries Biology/Management, or related field.
• Strong SQL experience and interest in fisheries science.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with interagency teams and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Review data audits and tests for observer and Electronic Monitoring trips; correct within timelines.
• Develop new data audits/tests and research database errors for corrections.
• Perform database queries to identify error projects and assist data processing staff.
• Assist with database migrations and reporting; track observer certifications and priority trips.
• Provide guidance on data quality improvements and document changes to observer protocols.
• Train new staff and support at-sea data quality activities.
• Support progress reporting and monthly updates for contract oversight.
