Job summary

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is seeking a Fish Culturist 1 at the Huntsdale State Fish Hatchery. This hands-on role supports hatchery operations, propagation, care, and stocking of fish that benefit anglers statewide.

You will receive training in fish culture practices, learn brood stock handling, and perform tasks to maintain healthy fish populations. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Additionally, possession of a PA driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Support hatchery operations by assisting with propagation, care, and stocking of fish.
• Learn and apply fish culture practices that protect and strengthen Pennsylvania fisheries.
• Maintain records and assist with brood stock collection, egg handling, and stocking activities.
