Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with major in accounting/finance/business admin or related field, plus 1 year fiscal management/government accounting experience.
• Or Associate's degree with major in accounting/finance/business admin or related; plus 2 years fiscal management/government accounting experience.
• Travel and attend out of area meetings and conferences as required.
• Work variable hours including those outside regular hours.
• Criminal Record Clearance and valid CA Driver License.
• Health examination with tuberculin clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and review the department's fiscal activities.
• Prepare and monitor departmental budget with Finance.
• Maintain and review financial records aligned with department goals.
• Analyze and interpret financial data for management planning.
• Advise the department director.
• Track balances and prepare reports on fiscal projects.
• Review requisitions, POs, claims and staffing for budget compliance.
• Support fiscal activities to meet federal and state requirements.
• Review contracts and financial reports for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports, budgets, and track market trends.
• Explain processes and action plans.
• Communicate cost analyses and forecast trends to the Child Care Assistance Program Director.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance/business administration or related field
